first tuesday@MCBW

9. March 2021
10:00 – 18:00

People in need of care and caregivers often cannot access the best ideas from companies, start-ups and the design industry. The first tuesday initiative aims to create a platform for better networking between care, start-ups and design expertise, so that innovations in the areas of care and assistance for the elderly are sustainably anchored.

At the meeting, which will take place during Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) on (exceptionally second) Tuesday, March 9, the focus will be on a review of first tuesday’s initiatives and progress to date, particularly with regard to Café Silberfilm.

Wolfram Babiuch and Sabine L. Distler, two of the creators behind the project Café Silberfilm, want to create a place where people can meet, experience culture and community. A place beyond supposed age limits. A place that is a space for active togetherness and at the same time a home away from home. They want to bring this vision to life with Cafe Silberfilm.

Cafe Silberfilm does not fit into any pigeonhole. It is colorful, diverse and has a special radiance. With a diverse program of film screenings, lectures, workshops and much more, Cafe Silberfilm is a meeting place, cultural space, meeting place and source of inspiration for interested people in the second half of life, but not exclusively.

In addition, there will be a live stream from the research landscape of C&S in Augsburg on this special first tuesday. The company develops software and software solutions for the social economy and is one of the initiators behind the project first tuesday…

The first tuesday series started in July 2020. On the first Tuesday of each month (“first tuesday”), stakeholders from the care sector met digitally with companies, start-ups and the design industry to develop practical solutions. Each event presented two innovators of supply and demand. The series is held in cooperation with the C&S Institute, the Institute for Universal Design and the Vincentz Network.
