The workshop series hosted by bayern design is all about current methods and approaches that make companies fit for the future through design competencies and targeted creative techniques. The workshops address product, communication, interface and media designers offering their creative services through their small businesses as well as industrial designers, architects, interior designers and SMEs.

The first in the Design Up your Business series will be a workshop on service design led by Dr. Tina Weisser on October 10, 2019.

Services have become central factors for innovation in society and the economy, for growth and quality of life. To stand out from the competition, successful companies are looking intensely into creating user experiences for their products and services. The service design innovation approach supports companies with developing customer-focused services and optimizing their internal processes.

In the ¾-day Design Up your Business – Service Design workshop you will learn the fundamentals of service design and familiarize yourself with tried and tested methods, tools and service design principles. To ensure you can apply your learnings in your daily operations, the workshop content will be conveyed in an assorted mix of theory and practical exercises. You will understand the added value and potential role of service design, you will know the key steps to designing services and you will be prepared to discuss service design and introduce it to colleagues and clients.
