Inno­v­a­tive design strate­gies help us lever­age the con­tin­u­ous trans­for­ma­tion of the world. They include suc­cess­ful ser­vice design, cus­tomer-cen­tric com­mu­ni­ca­tion strate­gies, tap­ping cre­ative poten­tial in the com­pa­ny, and cre­at­ing per­sua­sive brand identities.

The work­shop series host­ed by bay­ern design is all about cur­rent meth­ods and approach­es that make com­pa­nies fit for the future through design com­pe­ten­cies and tar­get­ed cre­ative tech­niques. The work­shops address prod­uct, com­mu­ni­ca­tion, inter­face and media design­ers offer­ing their cre­ative ser­vices through their small busi­ness­es as well as indus­tri­al design­ers, archi­tects, inte­ri­or design­ers and SMEs.

The first in the Design Up your Busi­ness series will be a work­shop on ser­vice design led by Dr. Tina Weiss­er on Octo­ber 10, 2019.

Ser­vices have become cen­tral fac­tors for inno­va­tion in soci­ety and the econ­o­my, for growth and qual­i­ty of life. To stand out from the com­pe­ti­tion, suc­cess­ful com­pa­nies are look­ing intense­ly into cre­at­ing user expe­ri­ences for their prod­ucts and ser­vices. The ser­vice design inno­va­tion approach sup­ports com­pa­nies with devel­op­ing cus­tomer-focused ser­vices and opti­miz­ing their inter­nal processes.

In the ¾‑day Design Up your Busi­ness – Ser­vice Design work­shop you will learn the fun­da­men­tals of ser­vice design and famil­iar­ize your­self with tried and test­ed meth­ods, tools and ser­vice design prin­ci­ples. To ensure you can apply your learn­ings in your dai­ly oper­a­tions, the work­shop con­tent will be con­veyed in an assort­ed mix of the­o­ry and prac­ti­cal exer­cis­es. You will under­stand the added val­ue and poten­tial role of ser­vice design, you will know the key steps to design­ing ser­vices and you will be pre­pared to dis­cuss ser­vice design and intro­duce it to col­leagues and clients.
