Spe­cial Men­tion at Ger­man Design Award

At the Ger­man Design Award, the SLANT­ED Spe­cial Issue Bavaria was hon­ored with a Spe­cial Men­tion in the cat­e­go­ry — Excel­lent Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Design — Editorial.

With our sup­port, the SLANT­ED edi­to­r­i­al team has tracked down design­ers, artists, pho­tog­ra­phers, illus­tra­tors and crafts­men from all over Bavaria and col­lect­ed many finds. They all show: Bavaria is far more than the long list of com­mon clichés. Bavaria’s design land­scape is col­or­ful, high-qual­i­ty and excit­ing — a ver­i­ta­ble hotbed of cre­ativ­i­ty with a wide vari­ety of design tal­ent, a mul­ti­tude of renowned design offices rang­ing from under­cov­er bureaus to inter­na­tion­al agency net­works. Inno­v­a­tive minds, cre­ations of young tal­ents meet tra­di­tion­al crafts­man­ship here and cross-fer­til­ize each other.

SLANT­ED also received two awards as Win­ner in the cat­e­go­ry — Excel­lent Com­mu­ni­ca­tions Design — Books and Cal­en­dars for the books “Be Water My Friend” and “The Nest-The CalArts Poster Archive Print”.
