SDD Jam

At the Social Design Jam (Octo­ber 11–12) you can devel­op inno­v­a­tive design solu­tions for con­crete chal­lenges around the top­ic of “decent work for all”. You will be assist­ed by expe­ri­enced design­ers who will sup­port and guide you.

At the Social Design Jam, inter­dis­ci­pli­nary teams of design­ers and chal­lenge givers from the Nurem­berg met­ro­pol­i­tan region devel­op design solu­tions for a chal­lenge on the cen­tral theme of “Appro­pri­ate Work for All” in a par­tic­i­pa­to­ry process. Chal­lenges could be sub­mit­ted until July 31, of which two were selected.

• Occu­pa­tions of the future, new world of work, chang­ing occu­pa­tion­al fields: How can we pre­pare employ­ees and employ­ers for future occu­pa­tion­al fields? What qual­i­fi­ca­tions and offers are necessary?
  The chal­lenge giv­er is the Nurem­berg Employ­ment Agency.
• Young entre­pre­neurs in the suc­ces­sion of fam­i­ly busi­ness­es: How can we solve gen­er­a­tional con­flicts? How do we sen­si­tize them to estab­lished priv­i­leges? How do we cre­ate neu­ro­di­ver­si­ty and make silent voic­es heard?
  The chal­lenge provider is Deinz­er­con­sult GmbH.

We con­nect these two chal­lenges with design­ers from the met­ro­pol­i­tan region of Nurem­berg, who will work on them in inter­dis­ci­pli­nary teams with the chal­lenge givers dur­ing the Social Design Days Nurem­berg. The results will be pre­sent­ed at the Social Design Days sym­po­sium on Octo­ber 13.
