Happy Holidays from bayern design
Dear design enthusiasts, dear companions and cooperation partners, dear members of bayern design
although it is not yet a full year that I have been able to experience with bayern design, it already feels so familiar that we can take a brief look back together and then powerfully look forward to new horizons. We at bayern design are happy about all that we have created and initiated together with you in 2021.Time and again, we have been able to show what we mean by #DesignConnects:
During the tenth Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW), we spent nine days virtually bringing people and ideas into conversation across geographical and temporal barriers in a newly created digital space. Around 35,000 people exchanged ideas in more than 120 digital and hybrid workshops, conferences, symposia, webinars, exhibitions as well as streams. And many people reached out to us afterwards, calling MCBW an exemplary shining light in the Corona pandemic. Once again, the importance and power of the creative and cultural industries shone through!
In September, we were able to participate in the International Motor Show IAA Mobility for the first time with our own pavilion. Under the slogan “Open minded to new visions”, we presented design as a central success factor for the entire mobility industry and gave a broad audience insights into otherwise hidden design processes.
And at the special show, FACHPACK visitors got to see innovative packaging ideas and concepts from designers from all over the world. They illustrated how important circular thinking is for the development of new materials and products and provided a rich source of inspiration for new trends and impulses in the packaging industry. Here, too, we tied up loose ends and closed loops.
We have also initiated a number of things within bayern design. We are currently working on our brand refinement and preparing the re-launch of our website for you.
What we do at bayern design thrives on the exchange between people and the shared enthusiasm for design. In order to be able to feel exactly this atmosphere more intensively again, we decided to postpone the MCBW 2022 by two months. Now, true to the annual theme “Moving Horizons”, we are looking forward with excitement to numerous visitors in May 2022.
We would like to thank you very much for your loyalty to bayern design, to MCBW and for the good cooperation and support. The entire bayern design team wishes you a relaxing holiday season, a happy new year, and lots of strength and inspiration for shaping our future together. Please continue to take good care of yourself and stay in good spirits.
Best regards, Nadine Vicentini and the bayern design team
