Nuremberg/Munich, Germany. – The Bavarian design landscape is variegated. In a joined exhibition and in short speeches, the Bavarian members of bayern design forum e. V. and of Verband Deutscher Industrie Designer e. V. (VDID) provide an overview of this variety for the first time during MCBW on February 26, 2016 to show that good design is made throughout Bavaria. Convincing exhibits from the consumer and industrial world illustrate the value of design to the economy and to users. DEsigned in Bavaria is the ideal opportunity for representatives of the corporate sector and all other people interested in design to learn about design performance in Bavaria. The inspiring atmosphere ensured by Location Partner DESIGN OFFICES at Arnulfpark in Munich is the perfect venue for this event.
Designers, agencies and companies from all over Bavaria present their design projects, including at-design (Fürth), Clormann Design (Penzing), designgruppe koop (Rückholz/Allgäu), Eckstein Design (Munich), Hering’s Büro (Kronach), hochE (Nuremberg), lumod (Baiern), Marius Schreyer Design (Nuremberg), Mursch & Knopp (Scheyern), nju.studio (Coburg), Okinesio (Hof/Münchberg), platodesigngroup (Munich), Aufzugswerke Schmitt + Sohn (Nuremberg) and Syring Designstudio (Weilheim). Admission starts at 2:00 p.m.
Starting at 3:30 p.m., these exhibitors and speakers will give brief presentations on their design projects: Prof. Dr.-Ing. Clormann: Upstream; Andreas Koop: No More Design, please!; Kathrin Lang and Wolfgang Rößler: Njustudios – Demonstration of Working Methods Using Current Society-Related Topics; Matthias Nirschl: Designed in Bavaria – Global and Cultural Balance in Design; Mareike Roth and Oliver Saiz: Research + Design = Emotional Identity; Marius Schreyer: The Essence of Things or Concentration on the Essentials; Volker Stumpf: Industrial Design Generates a New Quality for Companies; Jan Syring: User Experience in Product Design; Marion Thomas: Shorter, Faster, More Concise – The Increasing Concentration of Design Processes; and Prof. Michael Zöllner: okinesio – From the Idea to the Industry 4.0 Product.
Following the event, a free shuttle bus to the iF DESIGN AWARD NIGHT 2016 at BMW Welt will be available at 6:30 p.m. Please register in advance.
