The new format of the three-day Academy that will take place during the Service Design Summit 2018 will include the conveyance of service design principles and tools at Tool School and playful experiences of a service design process at Experience Jam.
Day 1: Tool School – all about methods
On the first day, at Tool School you will learn about the principles and tools of service design. Marc Stickdorn, author of This is Service Design Thinking, will introduce you to the secrets of the method so that you have the tools you need to change your perspective and/or stance and solve problems. Tool School will lay the groundworks for Experience Jam.
Days 2 and 3: Experience Jam – experiencing and applying service design thinking
On days 2 and 3, at Experience Jam you will have the opportunity to dive into the problem space. Embark on a customer journey and discover new approaches to solutions in a playful manner that will open up different worlds of ideas. A different perspective will help you see things from the customer’s point of view. Once you have introduced these insights to your company, you will be able to optimally identify and meet your customers’ requirements.
The goal is to develop a new service in only 48 hours. In this endeavor, you will be supported by top-caliber coaches: Markus Hormess and Adam Lawrence, founders of Global Service Jam, will provide advice and inspiration with new work methods and perspectives, from exploring customers’ needs to developing ideas, prototyping and testing. Expect two intense, highly creative days.
