OFF THE GRID - Design Visions for Economy
22 to 28 February 2016Alte Kongresshalle München, Theresienhöhe 15, 80339 München
10:00 to 22:00
Thinking and naming the unthinkable are key motors of our economy. All changes, transformation, revolution and progress are based on hypotheses and visions. Our current economic system based on growth is not suitable to achieve fair distribution of resources, education, nutrition and healthcare. We need strong ideas and visions for a new, future-oriented economy.
The exhibition, OFF THE GRID - Design Visions for Economy, will be a showcase of the latest stances on design that address the problem and aim at changing perspectives and illustrating alternatives through future-oriented concepts and fictional design. Speculative design makes fictional reality tangible and serves as a catalyst for innovation.
Design ethusiasts as trade visitors are invited to discover and question the challenging visions of a new generation of designers.
Curated by bayern design the exhibition will be held in the Alte Kongresshalle in Munich under the MCBW Forum.
