Belonging by Design How can we design spaces where people truly feel a sense of belonging?
The workshop explores how a sense of belonging is created within organisations, municipalities and professional environments and as well as identifying where design, language, processes, and digital services may unintentionally create barriers.
The workshop combines lived experience, reflection and social design. A ReDI community member with an international background will contribute a personal perspective, which then serves as a starting point for participants to identify barriers and develop ideas for creating more inclusive environments.
The Workshop will be held in English.
The ReDI School of Digital Integration is a non-profit certified tech-school supporting people who lack access to digital education. Its name “ReDI” stands for “Readiness” and “Digital Integration.” Founded in 2015, ReDI has trained over 30,000 learners from more than 100 nations across Germany, Denmark, and Sweden.
To break down social barriers, the award-winning school provides free IT-courses for (forced) migrants and marginalized groups, ranging from basic digital literacy to advanced tech skills. Combined with mentorship and industry networking, ReDI creates direct pathways into the labor market. The result: empowered learners, effective integration, and a diverse talent pool for the digital economy.
