Social Design Days – Jam

We invite you to our Jam on Octo­ber 8 and 9! A high­light of the Social Design Days, this inter­ac­tive work­shop offers par­tic­i­pants the chance to work with experts from  Urban Lab and bay­ern design. The event will focus on chal­lenges con­fronting inter­na­tion­als in their new posi­tions and home cities in Ger­many. Over two inten­sive days, the work­shop will tack­le two chal­lenges set by the Work and Stay Cen­ter Mit­tel­franken.

Par­tic­i­pants will learn new social design meth­ods that they can apply in their own work­ing rou­tine. Results will be pre­sent­ed on Octo­ber 10 at Cen­tral Fran­co­nia Inter­na­tion­al Com­mu­ni­ty Day.

Par­tic­i­pa­tion is open to every­one irre­spec­tive of their career back­ground. The more expe­ri­ences are shared, the bet­ter the solutions!

The jam is aimed at peo­ple from com­pa­nies and agen­cies (includ­ing man­age­ment, peo­ple & cul­ture, mar­ket­ing, and design and cre­ative depart­ments), munic­i­pal­i­ties (includ­ing urban plan­ning and edu­ca­tion), as well as civ­il soci­ety actors and all inter­est­ed citizens.

The work­shop will be con­duct­ed pri­mar­i­ly in Ger­man. If need­ed, we will adapt to Eng­lish-speak­ing participants.

The Work and Stay Cen­ter Cen­tral Fran­co­nia joins forces with part­ners in busi­ness, pub­lic admin­is­tra­tion, sci­ences, and civ­il soci­ety to trans­form Cen­tral Fran­co­nia into a region where inter­na­tion­al tal­ents not only come, but are keen to stay.

The Work and Stay Cen­ter views inte­gra­tion as a shared design task. It con­nects indi­vid­u­als, builds bridges between insti­tu­tions, and devel­ops new path­ways for estab­lish­ing a wel­com­ing cul­ture that extends through dai­ly life. The Cen­ter sup­ports inter­na­tion­al pro­fes­sion­als, stu­dents, and trainees and their fam­i­lies as well as com­pa­nies seek­ing to attract inter­na­tion­al tal­ents to long-term positions.

Impor­tant: The Jam will be held over two days, Thurs­day 5–9:30 pm and Fri­day 9 am–5 pm
