Who can par­tic­i­pate? Design­ers, cre­ative pro­fes­sion­als, entre­pre­neurs, researchers, stu­dents, and any­one who wants to con­tribute to the annu­al theme with their work or project can apply.

Use the oppor­tu­ni­ty to put your top­ic in the spot­light, make new con­nec­tions and con­tribute fresh per­spec­tives to the design community.

Use the mcbw plat­form to reach a pro­fes­sion­al audi­ence from pol­i­tics, busi­ness and the cre­ative scene. Put your work in the spot­light, gen­er­ate new atten­tion for your project and exchange ideas with lead­ing voic­es from the cre­ative community.

Take the stage along­side inter­na­tion­al­ly renowned names who have joined the mcbw design sum­mit in pre­vi­ous years, includ­ing Ste­fano Boeri, Alice Raw­sthorn, Tim Brown, Ezio Manzi­ni and Daniela Bohlinger and add a high-pro­file ref­er­ence to your portfolio.

Your path to the stage

Here are the key mile­stones of the appli­ca­tion and selec­tion process.

1. Appli­ca­tion
Sub­mit your sto­ry­line via our appli­ca­tion form by 4 Decem­ber, 2026 at the latest.

2. Selec­tion & Feedback
We take the time to care­ful­ly review all sub­mis­sions. Please allow us some time for the selec­tion process. We will get back to you with our deci­sion by mid-February.

3. Prepa­ra­tion & Feedback
If select­ed, you will be invit­ed to a per­son­al brief­ing call in April, where we will dis­cuss the next steps together.

4. Spot on!
Save the date: May 10, 2027 is your moment at the mcbw design sum­mit. The stage is yours. It’s your time to shine.

Impor­tant Information

• Your talk must relate to the annu­al theme SIG­NAL – NOISE or one of its sub-themes.
• Your idea, your words: Please write the descrip­tion of your keynote your­self and refrain from sub­mit­ting ful­ly AI-gen­er­at­ed texts. We want to hear your per­son­al per­spec­tive, point of view and voice.
• Along­side clas­sic keynote talks, we explic­it­ly wel­come inter­ac­tive for­mats, per­for­mances and oth­er cre­ative approach­es. Sur­prise us with your format!
• Sales pitch­es are not permitted.
• Your con­tri­bu­tion must not exceed 10 minutes.
• The Design Sum­mit will take place in per­son in Munich on 10 May 2027. Please make sure you are able to attend on site.
• Unfor­tu­nate­ly, trav­el and accom­mo­da­tion costs can­not be covered.
