We are delight­ed to present our new annu­al mot­to: “how to design a vibrant com­mu­ni­ty”. At a time when the pow­er of divi­sion is often per­ceived more strong­ly than that of uni­ty, our need for togeth­er­ness is grow­ing. We long to work togeth­er to find solu­tions to the com­plex chal­lenges of our world.

What does it take? Open­ness and curios­i­ty, medi­a­tion and coop­er­a­tion, human­i­ty and a sense of com­mu­ni­ty. Togeth­er with our part­ners and inter­est­ed par­ties, we want to explore how design can serve as an indis­pens­able tool for over­com­ing bound­aries. Because design has the abil­i­ty to ques­tion and rethink everything—it can help us to improve our liv­ing environment.
