Werkbund Werkstatt Nürnberg — das gestalterische Orientierungsjahr
Die Werkbund Werkstatt Nürnberg ist eine private Bildungseinrichtung im gestalterisch-handwerklichen Bereich. In der Ausbildung verschränken sich Theorie und Praxis. In den Werkstätten erlernen die Schüler den Umgang mit den Werkstoffen Textil, Holz, Glas und Metall.
Die Grundlagen der Gestaltung werden durch Unterricht in Kunstgeschichte, Designtheorie oder Perspektivisches Zeichen sowie Modellbau und visuelle Kommunikation vermittelt. In den Werkstätten erlernen die Schüler den Umgang mit den Werkstoffen Holz, Glas, Metall und Textilien, es entsteht eine Interaktion mit des gestaltenden Subjekts mit Form, Material und Technik.
Das Angebot wird abgerundet durch die Zusatzkurse Aktzeichnen und Mappengesprächen zur persönlichen Vorbereitung für die Bewerbung an Hochschulen.
Das Werkstattjahr eignet sich als Orientierungsjahr zwischen Schule und Beruf/Studium und wird von Hochschule und Akademien als Vorpraktikum anerkannt.
Seit 2006 wird auch ein Werkstattsemester für Berufstätige oder Menschen im Ruhestand angeboten.
