LICHTBLICKE attract people to the city centers
04. Juni 2021
LICHTBLICKE, a temporary design installation in public spaces, uses the appeal of art and design to lure us all back into the city centers. Between July 16 and September 15, artists and designers will install numerous works in public spaces and shop windows in Nuremberg, Munich, Passau and Augsburg.
The works range from paintings and prints to sculptures and various light works. All installations will be staged by professional lighting design. The installations will be accompanied by app-supported design walks, geocaching and special promotions in the participating downtown stores.
In addition to individual guest artists and designers, the works of Jan Kuck, Miro Cramer, Johannes Vetter, Alexander Deubl and Felix Rodewaldt will be the main focus of LICHTBLICKE. Jan Kuck already set highlights at the Munich Creative Business Week (MCBW) with the installation "Burning River" (2020) and the interactive light and dance performance "time matters" (2021, with Miro Craemer).
The project is sponsored by bayern design and the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy.
